Mazar e Quaid | Building Projection Mapping

Celebrations at the 70th Independence Day of Pakistan (Monday) witnessed enthusiasm and passion at new level. Official festivities began with hoisting of the national flag at government buildings followed by a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and a 21-gun salute in provincial capitals.

A change of guard took place at national monuments like Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi and Allama Iqbal’s shrine in Lahore. Public and private buildings, houses, streets and bazaars were extensively illuminated.

Pioneer & Industry leader in 3d projection mapping in Pakistan went on with an idea of celebrating Pakistan’s 70th Independence Day in an innovative style, by using the 3d illumination and projection mapping. A jaw dropping 3d projection mapping show was executed on 14th August 2017.

3D Illumination show was a unique idea but the most significant element of the projection mapping show was the location. The location opted for the stunning show was none other but the venue where Jinnah rests in peace. Mazar-e-Quaid had all the reasons for the team who planned to give a Gift to The Nation. Umer Toor CEO at 3Di said “This was a non-commercial event with purpose of paying a tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and a gift to the nation. Every activity taking place across nation on the day of Independence is important and every activity shall be highlighted by the media to send a strong and positive message to the world.” 

70th Independence day celebration at Mazar-e-Quaid stood unique in numerous ways. It was the very first time for Mazar-e-Quaid to experience 3d illumination or projection mapping show. It was an extreme pleasant surprise for the audience to witness the appearance of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah at Mazar-e-Quaid. Audience could not believe when they actually heard Quaid-e-Azam Muhamad Ali Jinnah’s own voice and a speech. The speech from Mazar-e-Quaid reminded Pakistani’s that Pakistan was achieved with great sacrifice for greater cause. Muslims are never scared of difficulties.

3D Illumination show at Mazar-e-Quaid has turned out to be the master piece on 70th Independence Day. Show at Mazar-e-Quaid has already become a social media sensation and it seems as it will stay around for very long time.
